The thinking behind the work

The Lyceum Protocol

Therapy works by teaching the brain something new: that a feared thing is survivable, that a belief is wrong, that action can come before motivation. New learning is fragile, and the body sets the conditions under which it survives.

The conditions for learning

The Lyceum Protocol brings CBT together with the neuroscience of sleep, movement and nutrition. These are treated as part of the treatment, rather than as lifestyle advice alongside it.

The four foundations are sleep, movement, food and the mind. The principle is baseline before optimise, with the clinic labelling how sure it is of each recommendation.

Beyond the initial work

A structured longer-term maintenance phase is part of the thinking. The Protocol is intended to be evaluated against published benchmarks.

This page sets out that thinking, not its implementation.
